Found out that area was one of three tied to a couple of quests - I've been in one of the others but haven't found the third yet - and there's another one back in a corner that's got a named barghest in it that chewed my Burg up big time.

If you look at the map, you can see where all three entrances are or should be.

I did some questing last night and got to level 24 (Gotta keep up with Tach, heh). I did quite a few quests in the Trestlebridge area and did the 5 daily "Tasks"; I earned about an entire level of XP.

I think there is a bug with the Task quests. If you collect more than the number of items required in the task, and then turn in the task, the extra items will keep the task quest active and you can continue to turn these in. I am going to test this theory tonight or tomorrow and see if it was just a fluke thing I experienced. Typically, once you turn in the quest and have reached your daily 5 tasks, you can't take them anymore. It could be that I was playing before and after midnight, and that the daily timer was reset allowing me to do more than 5 tasks. *shrug*

I also worked on my Tailoring quest, which was for obtaining my Expert Tailor tier. The quest was to make a pair of gloves for the Tailor trainer, which involved getting a rare piece of thread from a level 25-27 "Elite" mob (1000-1200 HP). Well, it was pretty challenging, but I was able to find and kill one of the Level 25 Elite mobs, and obtain the rare piece of thread. So, I have completed the Expert tailor crafting quest and I am now able to craft expert Tailor items. If anyone finds any tailoring or armor recipes, send them my way. If I find any that you guys can use, I have been mailing them to you.

@Hammer - I mailed 40 or so Bronze ingots to you, hopefully this will help you with your weapon-smithing skills. I kind of killed two birds with one stone when crafting these ingots. My character Trakas is already an Expert Prospector, so crafting ingots would have done nothing for me. I sent all of the Copper and Tin I collected to my Guardian "Faenara" (Forester, Prospector, Tailor) and leveled up her Prospeting skills to Master Apprentice; I'm still working on her Master Journeyman tier.

I have quite the selection of armor to make (Metalsmith and Tailor), if I make any Purple (Rare) Items that I can't use and someone else may be able to use, I'll post here and whoever responds will get it.

A lot of those purple tailor recipes require polished bloodstones. I bought a few from the Auction House, but yesterday I pushed my Rune-Keeper into the second level of Jeweler so she can make them.

Wackiness: to unlock the second level of Jeweler, she had to go talk to a guy at the Forsaken Inn in Annunlos, which is east of the Midgewater Marshes, which is a looooooooooooooooooong way from Celondim in Ered Luin. I was all like... all right, finished the first level, now where's that Big Book of Jewelry? What? Go where? Aw, maaaaan.

Swift travel for teh win!

I know the feeling, lol! I had to goto Thorin's Hall for my Journeyman Metalworking Tier; thankfully I had a "Swift Travel" to it from West Bree.

So, I find Bloodstones on occasion, are these what you need to make polished ones? If so, I will send the ones I find to you so I can make some "Purple named" gear. My next character will be a Jeweler or Scholar me thinks...

BTW, THANK YOU for the (2) polished Bloodstones! I needed them to make my Expert Tailor quest item.

You'll need them for Master Apprentice as well, unless you have that already. Then you'll need Iron Ingots or something like that. Isn't crafting fun?

Yup, jewelers can turn bloodstones (or any other gems) into the polished versions. If you have some gems you need polished, send them to Calenglin. I know she can do amethysts, agates, and bloodstones so far, but I'm not sure what else.

Do you no longer need the Bronze ingots? I am basically collecting copper / tin as I run across it so I can make "noob" gear for lowbies if need be.

I'll get some Barrow iron ingots and low grade steel ingots to you when I can; I still need to get my Metalsmithing up to Master Journeyman. Soon, real soon.

for lower end gear i think i still need bronze ingots. but there really is enogh gear in the starting areas where i do not think it will be in much demand. but if i can get more recipes for level 12 bronze weapons that might help some people - they are pretty decent especially when i critical when making them. right now i only have a two handed axe for that.

I've been picking up some barrow iron, so I'll have some ingots for you later today. You can probably get some from the auction house, but they'll probably cost a pretty penny.

Oh, heh, and I'm in with the Inn crowd.

Calenglin is ready to move on to the 3rd tier of Jewelry - at which point she should be able to polish rubies and sapphires - but there's a big ol' stumbling block in the way: a quest which leads into a Dourhand encampment in the Lone Lands for a White Tree Mould. Unfortunately, the Dourhands in question are level 25 and she's only level 17. I scouted it out - there's nothing to pick up, so the item must be on one of the dwarves. I tried to defeat one of them but it did not go well.

So I'm thinking, maybe if she went back with an armed escort...
