Raptor?

Has anyone seen him lately? It says he hasn't been online since August. Did something happen?

Thanks guys. I figure I won't be mission-ready for almost another two years from now.

Not sure how impressive a C-130 flyby is, unless we're throwing crap out the back

Thanks for the support.

A former WOF member in the service...

Hey everyone, I was browsing around and it was good to see Steel/Grifter/Softball and the rest of the regulars still here. Its been a long time! Just thought I'd let everyone know that on Friday, I commissioned as a 2nd Lt in the United States Air Force. I'm reporting to Randolph AFB (San Antonio TX...

I'm back! I know some may scoff at my Field Training only lasting for four weeks...but I tell ya, it was the hardest four weeks of my life. What they don't do to you physically, they do to you mentally. 28 days of constant stress, 17 hours a day. You never get quite enough sleep as you need, you eat...

Nice derailing  F/A-18 Korea does come with textured land, you have to enable it in the graphics menu.

The way things are going, the F-35 definately doesn't look like an option for UPT grads by the time I get through the system. Heck, I'm not even sure if the -22 will be an option for me.

I dunno, just never been a fan of the -35. Not sure why, but it has just never appealed to me.

Well...picking a jet is a long 3-4 years away, but right now I'd go for the F-16 or the F-15C (or the F-22 of course, if it was offered for UPT grads). From there, the F-15E or the A-10.

Wanted to say hi

Hey everyone, I know its been a long time since I've talked to all of you. I'm sorry I lost touch...between the flying and courses in college, it got busier than I thought. Hope everyone's been doing well in the last few months, I see there are still alot of familiar names here. I miss flying with y...

98SE has known errors, and Matt Wagner said that the next patch has been showing very good signs for the 98/ME users.

I'd agree with Steel there...there's a few times in the F-15 where'd I'd love to have a HMS to splash a pesky Su-33. I've also noticed the F-15 radar problem. I pulled behind a C-17, roughly same airspeed/flightpath, and there wasn't a darn thing on the scope. I find it pretty interesting that you h...

Fortunately for you, I think LO-MAC is pretty easy to get used to. Its got the best flight model I've ever felt since IL-2. The ground-pounding is pretty straightforward, but I haven't tried out my A-A skills yet, so I'm not sure how difficult that will be. Take an A-10 for a spin around the pattern...

I'm getting the game for Christmas, but I've been playing the demo on it and get outstanding framerates with the graphics settings on low. Even zoomed out in the cockpit, it still looks great. And since the release version is supposed to run better than the demo, I'm sure it'll be fine. Over a gig o...

The demo has been a blast- runs great on my new computer, and I think I'll be getting the full game for Christmas. Looking forward to a MP game sometime soon.

Definately noticed the drop in airspeed during the vertical loop- made it just fine, but can't hold that nose up very long. I'm not sure what model it was...it was painted red/white/blue and flown by a woman named Jackie or Jamie or something...don't know if you've heard of her.

At the Wings and Waves airshow in Daytona this year they had an L-39 demonstration. VERY impressive, alot more of an aircraft than I was expecting!

A-10, all the way. Nothing like that 30mm cannon :)

Overall, I love the viewable cockpit. Allows you to look around and zoom in, while maintaing perfect clarity on the instruments.
