Re: roll call

Apparently people have been messaging me using the in game MWO chat for quite some time now. And here I didn't even know there was a bloody in game MWO chat. All those flashing golden bars around people's names is finally explained... at any rate, I ended up in a drop with Veg completely by accident...

Re: how do groups work

The friends list on the MWO forums and the friends list in the actual game client are two different things.

I haven't responded to friends requests in game yet because I've done all the testin gI care to do, and I am waitin gfor Open Beta to drop so my XP doesn't get reset anymore.

Re: Approved

I have been, off and on. Everyone with a Founder's pack gets into the Beta, but it /is/ still beta, and there's a lot of stuff not implemented yet.
It's a very pretty game, though, and you can see the potential there.

Re: Approved

I got in before you did, Veg. :D

You just weren't supposed to tell anyone you got in. Now it doesn't matter anymore because all the founders are in, if they signed up.

I wonder if Hondo is the same H o n d o that got his post deleted in the Beta Forum? He's a Steiner supporter...

Re: Approved

But you know, Veg, when you're in the Beta, you're not supposed to tell people you're in the Beta.

It's sorta like Fight Club. The first rule of Fight Club is that you're not supposed to talk about it.

Re: Approved

Eh, the founders will get in on 7 August, which isn't that far away.
I'm not too worried.

Re: OK - let's do some planning

They're slightly different looking versions of the 4, that are more customizable (visually, not combat worthy), and that give bonus C-bills when you have them. C-bills being money, not experience points. So really, while they don't improve your combat skills or abilities in any way, they will help y...

We're not going to see the Unseen. Pirahna doesn't want to get sued (again) by Harmony Gold (again).

Re: OK - let's do some planning

Steiner, definitely, for the same reason as Veg. I used to be one, back in the day, before I joined the Light Horse. Nothing wrong with forming a merc unit, but you'd need more than you, me, and Veg. If you got the other old Light Horse guys interested, you could probably get a decent Merc Unit goin...

Re: OK - let's do some planning

The Steiner group are nice guys. Most of them seem to have played in the MPBT leagues, 3025 and Solaris. That was a little after our TFS adventure days, but not that much more after.

I set myself to Lyran, definitely.

Re: callsigns

There's always putting the Slam back in Slamhammer. PDT_Armataz_01_12

Stay off the MWO forums, you'll just get depressed. if I see one more banner for the Eridani Light Ponies, I'm going to fucking barf.

I blame metrosexualism for all this brony crap.

Re: callsigns

To be completely candid, Hammer, I'm not entirely sure. All I can make are assumptions, based upon what I've seen in the few gameplay videos they've released, but I'm pretty sure the name you type is for your pilot, and for the forums, and that's the name you have, so if you put RLG, it will have RL...

Re: callsigns

I'm signed up as Oshay, but I'm probably going to join an actual unit, see if I can get into the equivalent of whatever ends up being set up as a league like TFS and the other ones we used to play in.

Re: bata signup

The premium mechs are identical to the prime variants of the mechs they're replacing. So a Catapult is a Catapult, a Hunchie is a Hunchie, etc. Same weapons outfit. Same armour value. Same speed and JJs. What is good about them, is that you get the 25% bonus C-bills at all times... and they look dif...

Time

Well, don't forget, the game /is/ Free to play for the most part. If you're only going to have a very small amount of time, why not just skip a founder package and play when you can? You can still have fun that way, but since you won't be into it in a big way, you really won't be missing out by skip...

Re: bata signup

Beta's been going on for a few weeks, Veg. But it's still closed Beta, they only send out a very few keys at a time every weekend.
Given how many people have signed up for Beta, it's not surprising that you're still 'pending'. I think just about everyone is still pending. Heh.

Re: bata signup

Hammer, A very few people are playing Closed Beta. You can sign up at that link I sent you, and hope you get into the beta. It's random, though your chances go up if you buy a pack. Still, given that something like 20,000 people have already bought a pack today, on the first day, it's still pretty r...

Re: bata signup

I'm good, man, I'm good. I miss you guys but I'm still working 2nd shift and awake during the night, so our times still don't mesh. Star Trek Online was fun until I made Admiral, and then I was like "Well, I can Raid or do PVP now, neither of which is appealing," so I went back to World of...

Re: bata signup

You guys getting excited for this? I've already signed up, under the tag Oshay. You'd be surprised over on the Lyran page of the MWO forums who's crawling out from under rocks. There's a few House Steiner guys from the old /OLD/ days showing up. Site is http://mwomercs.com/ if you're still having tr...
