Re: Heads Up on Hornet Flight Model
I've busted my gear on hard runway landings and once on a Bolter, more of a bounce touch and go, I guess (gear warning sounding, AOA indexer off but managed to get aboard on the next pass with gear intact) If I keep it below ~1000fpm descent on the runway, it seems fine. I usually shoot for half tha...

Re: Won't be on Valentine's Day`
Happy to fly the C130, UH-60L or OV-10 as required for base capture. With a large crew it would be possible to have dedicated SEAD/DEAD/CAP/STRIKE/TRANSPORT groups. The next base in line, Kutaisi, has a lot of units, but is very close to Senaki, so the sortie rate would be very high...and it is clos...

Re: Foothold on RLG
On a related note, looks like a lot of missions relying on scripting are broken. FYI deadlyfishes has updated THROUGH THE INFERNO missions:

Re: Operation Foothold 11.08.23
One correction: Air to Air kills on REDFOR don't necessarily degrade the enemy's spawns any more than AIR TO AIR KILLS on BLUEFOR affect the availability of BLUE Spawns. It does temporarily clear the airspace, of course (and get you Valuable POINTS). What does degrade REDFOR aircraft is capturing th...

Re: Wednesday Missions
Sadly, I do not think there is a Foothold SINAI at this point. For sure Caucasus, Persian Gulf, Marianas and Syria. For Caucasus and Syria there is also a "Fork" called Foothold EXTENDED which covers a lot more territory. This is the Syria Foothold we played over ~6 months, starting with a...

Re: Foothold Syria Hops 10.09.23
Slight correction! My buddy lase was off... I was lasing a target at a different target area (thanks to setting the wrong waypoint!!). Not sure what Bones's bomb guided on. Eventually I called in a REAPER to illuminate targets at Al Quasyr, but I am not sure it was on station yet to provide the spot...

Re: F/A-18 AGM-65F Issues
Does that apply to LGB's too? I imagine so, right? As usual, they fixed a lot and broke a lot at the same time. Apparently there are a number of bugs introduced by 2.7. Hopefully there is a hotfix coming. I had no issues with LGB's. Relatively shorter LASING time and a delay before the laser starts...

Re: F/A-18 AGM-65F Issues
Although to be fair, the only advantage the IR Mav has over the LG one is the fire-and-forget. If you're outside their engagement range, the laser Mav will hit anything the TPOD can see without worries about whether the contrast is enough or not. Careful with the AGM-65E. It is broken in 2.7, or ra...
