Just wanted to share this here. I'm thinking about getting this for my nephew, it's not bad for someone who doesn't have a gaming computer.

$399 SLI Gaming rig (after $80 rebate)

7300s SLI'd? That seems kind of odd. Like putting a turbocharger on a lawnmower. :)

turbo charger on a lawn mower, man that sounds like it would be a blast. Cut the lawn in 1/5 the time PDT_Armataz_01_12

Now as for 7300 SLI together, I do question how usefull that is over say a 8600 for example.

It's useful as it saves the buyer about $300. Lol. Heck, I didn't even know you could run SLI the "7300" line of video cards.

but consider that some games have issues with sli'ed video cards...

is the 8600 really that much more than a pair of 7300's?

What about the new 8800GT (it's a single height card with only 1 power connector and is allegedly nearly as fast as the 8800GTX). 512MB Cards at $250.

I would want to know how much 2 7300 cards are worth together for speed vs current medium range cards.

If you buy (2) 8600s to run in SLI, then I would say yes, it's that much.

I suppose you could buy that system and swap out the cards for a single 8600GTS or higher. Will cost you a bit more for the extra card of course.
