Here’s an oldie I haven’t played in 23 years. The Mech Warrior 2 Titanium Trilogy I recently bought from eBay. The previous owner took real good care it , as all three disk are clean and without a scratch. I thought I would dust off my spurs and kick it around for a few. I hear there is no multiplayer online anymore , but I will have a look around. Originally, MechWarrior 2 was shipped with multiplayer capabilities via a program called NetMech.

The flight stick is a Thrustmaster T-Flight Stick X, much bigger then my old CH-Game Stick. There are so many buttons on this , I have no idea what to use them all for. Maybe they come in handy with a flight simulator game.. It has a soft clunk when returning the stick to the Upright position ( which I don’t like ) but maybe it just needs to be broken in , or perhaps a dab of grease might help.

I Found MechWarrior Living Legends has made several mods for MechWarrior 2 . Mechwarrior Living Legends is a fan-created " Multiplayer " mod using the Crysis engine, based in the BattleTech universe.

In 2021 it was announced that a sequel titled 'Living Legends 2: Armored Combat' was in production. Living legends 2 is being developed as a standalone title on Unreal Engine 5

Unfortunately the Titanium edition does not - and will not work on Windows 10.. I just threw away my windows 98 installation CD last year because I thought I was never going to use it again.

However I found that the original MechWarrior 2 Dos version will work on Window 10 using a Dos program like DOSBOX or MechVM .

I forgot to mention, there are a few places out there that offer the MechWarrior 2 ISO file. I’m not sure our host will be happy with the idea or not - but looks legit considering it’s an old Dos game that has been abandoned. Be sure to run your internet security before retrieving the file which is around 700mb. I found this is also the way to play MechWarrior 2 on your web browser when you install the game into your computer memory. . I’m going to check it out , I see several other Mech Warriors out there are having a blast playing this old game.

Alright We’re Growing An Audience In Here!

Hey from I gather you can install VirtualBox on Windows 10 that will install any windows platform and then some. ( Including Linux ) What….? Yeah, I haven’t tried it yet - but from what I gather you can load up Windows 95 through Windows 10.

Option 2: Or if you have enough leftover computer parts , you can build another old style PC. I have everything here but the case , but I’m still going to check out the VirtualBox as well because it sounds like this might be the easy way.

Today Windows 95 is considered a Free Windows Operating System. There are a few sites out there that still offer the Win-95 - ISO file. I found a clean download image file the other day and as soon I will make a Windows 95 CD then it’s just about game time over here.

I found one of the problems is that when I load up Win7-Win98 or Win95)) although I can get the OS to work fine , but Good Luck trying to find and Drivers for your hardware. It’s Impossible! What? – no sound - only 16bit graphics, so I never mind - it’s Kaput.
