hey there Bullseye,
thanks for dropping by here and spreading a little mechy hope in the world.

Even though im haveing fun in planetside, with all its bugs and ongoing development... ( oh yea the monthly charge too! ) i realy miss mech. mercs still dont want to run with the mektek patch for me. i have no clue whats wrong with it, and after the hastles involved, im not sure i want to take the time to get to the bottom of it. ive spent way more time 'messing' with the game rather then playing it this last year.

I realy hope the powers that be, dont give up on mechwarrior and are able to at least bring it up to date with game technology. there is no reason for it to be left behind when it still has such potintial after so many years.

The first Dark Age book was pretty good and beleivable.
I'm still reading the 2nd, but it's pretty sad.
Clanners including "converted" industrial Mechs in their bid?
Beeyotch, puleeze!

Still holding out hope,

<S> Mattie . Thanks for the Intel.... Say , … your out of uniform Mister , but I’m glad your still hanging out here from time to time cuz you were missed.

Sat-com scuttlebutt says ELH Colonel Black Hawk was thinking about sending in a special seal team to try and retrieve you from your slumber. However Central Intelligence is still working on a plan , or rather a clean solution to your retrieval with minimal casualties and should have something with in a month or two. Hang in there soldier ! We’ll get you back.

Actualy the plan was to lay down a line of full beer cans leading you away from enemy territory... unfortuanly when we buy the bait, it for some reason disapears. we considered filling the empty cans up with water however we knew of your superior sence of smell. so we are still trying to come up with a game plan.

I am ashamed.
I was working on PC's last might, and hit a snag.
I decided to take a break, went downstairs to talk to wife and watch 9 o'clock news with her.
I fell asleep, left all the lights and PCs on.
Worst of all, I had to pour out the half a beer I "abandoned" this morning.
Another one lost in action (or inaction).

I remember a time when I was marooned on a desolate island with only a half can of beer to get me by till my rescue. I was saving it for a special occasion . Like maybe when another jet liner flew over head at 30 k feet , or perhaps when some more wreckage from the ship I was on washed up on shore reveling something else new. I was going a bit nuts talking to me and myself at the time trying to find the courage to not just swallow it in one big gulp. Sweat was poring off my head as I kept looking at that Half can of beer staring back at me…. , haunting me like sweet nectar calling out , time and time again …. Drink Me ! Let me just say that that half Can of Beer was Very Special at the time and it lasted me almost a whole month before I was finally rescued in good fashion by a luxury cruise liner that was loaded with plenty Booze and Broads to get me back home safe and sound.

The guy that started that thread, who is he? Is he someone related to previous editions of MW or WizKids?

you know ive been thinking about this since this post poped up. and even hit on the thought a few times since i started playing Planetside... they could do so much with the battletech universe if they just took the effort. i feel that the story line, and the games they made in the past, along with the strong following of old and new alike they could create one of the best Massive Multiplayer online there ever was. so far in planetside, we got outfits who use all sorts of specialists to acomplish its goals. when you start planet side you start out as a grunt. you get basic weapons, basic armor and you work up gaining experiance to get certificates you use to learn to pilot vehicles, weapons and armors. now if this was a Btech universe this could be airospace pilots, tank pilots, mech pilots etc. you start out as ground inf and support and work your way up to pilot mech and gain rank. you could at some point after gaining command rank be a mech commander guiding your mech forces to triumph or defeat. also gaining the ability of orbital strikes like in mechcommander. you could be a drop ship pilot deploying your troops in stratigic locations.... the possibilites would then be endless. not only in game play, but to those ppl who like different aspects of Btech would be able to find a nitch.

believe me, if they came out with something like this. i would drop PS in a second and pay for this monthly and not even bitch about it :P

Is the MW clickbase stuff holding up? I know clickbase was big there for a while, and the guys behind MW/BT jumped on that bandwagon big time, but that was several years ago. Does clickbase have 'legs'? Will people still be playing it in 10 years, the way people *still* play classic Battletech?

Genesis? Heh, I've still got a Sega *Master* system! Wonder Boy in Monster Land, Golvellius... great games!

Hey Tach,

Good to see your post! I haven't heard much about ClickTech lately but I can't say I frequent enough game stores or cons to say how good its been doing. My BTech friends played it one weekend and seemed to like it but they haven't mentioned it much since. I bought a pack for novelty's sake but I haven't played it. My wife and I played MageKnight for awhile as it's easy and pretty fun. She's not into regular or scifi wargaming so we haven't played the ClickTech. Just as good, I'd rather not have her kick my butt in that too.

Man that would be so cool I'd love to pilot an Aerospace fighter and do some serious strafing runs.

Me, too. As I was examining the pieces, I broke the barrel off one of the tanks... d'oh! Shucks, it was all crooked anyway.

Have you seen some of the rescupted minis coming out? The Mad Cat looks nice and the Vulture too (though I think the gun barrels in the arms look funny).
