Jumpgate Evolution

Looks nice,

By STRATEGY INFORMER:
It's strange that not many developers have seen fit to attempt this type of setup before. Whilst EVE: Online undoubtedly caters for the hardcore sci-fi fan, we've had precious little in the way of alternatives thus far; with a whole generation of PC gamers weaned on the likes of Wing Commander and Battlestar Galactica going pretty much uncatered for at present. NetDevil is looking set to capitalise on that market with the release of Jumpgate Evolution later in the year; providing an instantly-accessible space combat and trading sim looking to blaze a trail for the more casual market. Following on from some hands-on time with the title recently, we're more than happy to report that the studio looks to be well on the way to success in that respect.

More Xwing/FS/WCmdr style games is what I want! X2/3 really aren't so much, only slightly.

I'd pay $70 for a Tie Fighter II with the latest graphics technology.

More eye candy:

This has the feel of Homeworld to it. Now I'm getting ancy. That was one of the best games I ever played , and if this game could come somewhat close that then .....

From Daeke:

Pilots,

It's with a heavy heart that I must announce that I'm taking my leave from Gazillion at the end of this week. It's been an extremely memorable ride, and I hope you all know how much I appreciate the dedication you've all kept to this community over the past year. It was an absolute pleasure getting to meet a bunch of you at E3 this past year, and I'm sure we'll meet up again in JGE someday, when we all get the opportunity to rip each other to shreds. I'll even give you guys a free shot before I disintegrate you.

I want to make it clear that this is in no way a reflection on the work the team has done on this project. I love NetDevil dearly, and it was a very tough decision for me to make. While I can't discuss my future plans yet, I can promise it'll all become clear in a few weeks' time. I'm sure you already know you're in excellent hands with OhSnap and Alpha, two of the finest folks I've ever had the opportunity to work with. Be nice to them!

And before I go, just promise me one thing: Wherever we may meet in the future, you'll never ask me for friendly fire again

Safe flying!

Hello Everyone,

It has been a great pleasure serving this community during the time I have been here. However, I am currently moving to a new Community Manager role here at NetDevil while the JGE team continues their hard work.

Alpha will continue to watch over these forums in the same capacity as a moderator.

We will be announcing an exciting new project next week that I am thrilled to be a part of. It’s a fun and interesting time here at NetDevil so stay tuned for what’s to come!

Thanks again for everyone’s participation and support!
