Ha! Why not? What's the worst thing that can happen? You never get a call back.
Gator could apply for this job too and I'm SURE the cost of living in St. Louis is a LOT less than either Chicago or the DC area. :-)

I say apply. The worse thing that happens is that you get the experience of interviewing for such a job or don't get a call back. You never know.
