having problems with my new game

I just purchased Splinter Cell for PC...I can't seem to figure out what this error message is. I've updated my Video Drivers and such but still no success. By the way the readme did not help at all.

Could be direct X or your video card is wussy and you need a better one? What type of card do you have? Not that I would be able to advise you on how to fix it, but I think that is the problem.

its the TNT MODEL 64 32Mg RIVA CARD. YEAH I THINK IT IS ALSO. Well comp USA has a GeForce 4 on sale for 99 bucks. I'm there getting it in the worse way.

I suffered that exact problem with the demo, my card is a Gainward GeForce 4600 Ti.
I have today collected the full game, and the problem is gone - during install it was necessary to upgrade my Direct X & Adobe Acrobat. You should go to the Update Support software option and it will be there - might be all you need to do.

Well I upgraded when it ask me to upgrade DirectX 8.1b to 9.0 and I upgraded adobe acrobat also...I will uninstall then reinstall.

Have you installed the latest patch? There is a patch for the game, not sure if it fixes the problem though.

But DA, dude, you SERIOUSLY need to get a new video card, that TNT is quite outdated. I saw a GF4 MX 420 card at the local Frys for $69.

Well I was going to get a new one with my Tax Return AkA my wife's return, mine has been graciously detained but she received a letter stating that they are rechecking her's also. When it rains it pours. So in due time my friends in due time.
