Ubisoft's shit new DRM was hacked in a day, and now there authentication servers are down, so only people who pirated or illegally hacked the game are able to play...

Ubisoft = DRM = FAIL.
People can bitch about steam; it's no perfect in my eyes either, but at least you can play games offline..

it's making me rethink buying any more Ubi games on PC ... but that's probably their plan. Drive us all to consoles...
Upcoming Ubi that I'm interested in: Splinter Cell and Silent Hunter 5.
I'm guessing that SH5 is PC only ... no way I'll buy that with the current state of Ubi DRM. I was already worried about Ubi's new stance on DRM ... now this. I thought most were moving away from this crap.

Actually now that you say it I believe Silent Hunter 5 is the other game at present that uses this hellish DRM. At any rate there are two games as of now...
edit: here's an article that mentions the same thing happening to SH5 players:

glad I got Far Cry 2 before they started that. Good thing I don't mind playing games on my PS3 or XBox.

Once I heard that Silent Hunter 5 was going to have DRM that required the user to have a CONSTANT internet connection to play I immediately wrote it off my "to buy" list.

ya DRM liek this has caused several games to have rather bad releasess as most are realizing its a pain and stay away. Hell spore had that fun amazon campane where people reviewed it as crap based on DRM.

did not Knights of the Sky have the same thing? or at least they were thinking about it - must have internet to play. i think that game ended up being a bomb anyway though.
