its only supposed to be 114 today. It would be nice if I could enjoy my deck I had built this summer.....but noooooo, Mother Nature is throwing a tantrum! On the plus side.....I havent had to mow the lawn in about 8 weeks.

Usually by this time of year I'm able to let the yard go for weeks at a time, but THIS year... rain, rain, rain! And hot, hot, hot. Not 100+ but in the 95-100 range, which, aside from an occasional peak, is unusual for here. Feels like the Bluegrass State is becoming a tropical jungle.

So anyway, Buff, buy some ice packs, freeze 'em, and wrap 'em around your PC and come play some Age of Conan or LOTRO or something.

The high temperature at Warren County Airport reached 103 degrees
this afternoon. This equals the record high temperature for this
date... last set in 1902.

Finally got some rain last night, about 2.5" of the stuff. 1st really measurable rainfall locally since about June 10th. Too bad it can accompanied with a wonderful 70+ mph straight-line winds. All my deck furniture was blown to one side of the deck, but at least we got rain......

It's been raining almost daily here in Miami since July.

A record cool maximum temperature of 60 degrees was set at Bowling
Green KY September 06 2011. This breaks the old record of 67 set
back in 1988.

This summer was 53 days over 100 degrees, a new record, with multiple record highs throughout topped with I think was 117ish......a brutal summer.

That being said, this morning, I almost had to break out a damned jacket.....it was chilly!

Always fun to be awakened by storm sirens.

83 degrees. That sets a new record for this date. The old record was
81 degrees set in 1894.

The temperature fell to 52 degrees this morning at Blue Grass field in Lexington.
This is a new record low temperature for this date.
The old record was 54 last set in 1956.

here we are setting record highs and record minimum lows. heat wave breaks tomorrow though.

Been in the mid 80's now for almost 3 weeks....this is August right? but no real rain. My backyard is burned to a crisp, nothing growing back there other than huge ass weeds

Same deal here Buff....Grass what grass....have to water around the foundation of house to keep the slab from settling to quickly.

until 2 weeks back its been 90+ where I live with 100% humidity. Lawn was crap. Lucky we finely got some rain and cooler temps. but man we where getting broiled.

perfect..........we havent had measurable rain in about 2 months.....so this past weekend they decided to hold a big ass car show downtown, 150,000 people and over 800 cars......and it freaking rained, and rained hard all weekend. lol

I'm just grateful that I dodged the bullet with Isaac.
