Robotech was always a favorite when I was growing up in the 80's

The space submarine show may have been Harlock: Space Pirate

Speaking about Captain Harlock , they did have a newer version of this one that was really good to see.

I think it’s still on Netflix

The space battleship (Yamato) "Starblazers" show I watched as a small child but I've never heard of a space submarine one.

I really do not like anime. I have no trouble with animation, but the literal style of anime turns me off.

For example, the Animatrix. I like the Matrix films, but other than the one photo-real one about the Osiris ship, and the background of the history before the Matrix, I find the rest just awful. No one has a mouth smaller than their eye, that can then open to be bigger than their head. Hair that stands up to the side. Motion that is just bizarre.

I'm not speaking of the stories, some may have good ones that are quite worthy but I can't get over the style enough to engage.

The animated ST and SW series I've seen on Disney and Paramount, though, do not use that style (aside from the one limited SW series which didn't impress me much at all) and I don't get put off by them.

I loved him in "The Rock", played a very convincing SEAL officer. Then again, he's played a SEAL 3 times now.
Same here. Michael Biehn is a very underrated actor in my opinion.
