Wow. Just went straight to Getty images, huh? Not the first time I’ve seen this sort of thing unfortunately.

Admittedly, This one is going over my head a bit. Does it have to do with the search vessel? Where are they going to put the aircraft once they’ve recovered it?

"F35" yet the image outline (in white) is for a F-22

which do you think would have a higher level of urgency to recover a Raptor or a Lightening?

Yup! That's the obvious one.

The not so obvious is that the whole point of stealth is to reflect away wave energy, so that it doesn't return to the transceiver and thus remains invisible. Yet, they are pinging it with sonar--which is sound waves that will get reflected away and thus they'll never see it.

Stealth works just as well against sound waves, as shown by the F-117s sitting in the hangar at Area 51 where the bats kept crashing into the plane because they couldn't see the Nighthawk.

Ahhh.... I hadn't thought of that...

Interesting about the bats and the Nighthawk. I Did a search and found this article. It mentions an alternative reason for the bats being dead. What do you think?
