how ultra frustrating this is. I have very little time to be gaming nowadays, and to have to spend it trying to set up my HOTAS is ridiculous when it is due to such kludgey software. unbelievable that they say it is a simulation, but do not have a decent system to set up a HOTAS, for which example are ubiquitous in previous flight and space combat games.

it seems the best way to do this is to not try and use the preset profiles they have, you just need to buckle down and do it button by button and axis by axis yourself and then export the profile so you have it saved.
