A number of problems arise from incorrect patch order, including the game fails to start, cockpits missing, errors loading certain maps and errors loading certain objects. Here is the way to avoid those.

For standalone Pacific Fighters:

Install PF
Install patch pf_patch303.exe (100MB)
Install patch pf_patch401.exe (100MB)
Install patch pf_v402.exe (25.4MB)

For merged Forgotten Battles/Ace Expansion Pack/Pacific Fighters:

Install FB
Install AEP
Install PF
Install patch pf_patch303m.exe (100MB)
Install patch pf_patch401m.exe (141MB)
Install patch pf_v402m.exe (31MB)

Not that the standalone patches do not have "m" in the file name and the merged patches do. Please note that some sites have had the file names swapped for the 4.02 and 4.02m patches. Please double check the file size matches the patch for your version before applying. 4.02 for standalone is about 25.4MB, 4.02m for merged is about 30MB

That would explain it then, I simply did as above - forgot to do the 3.03, 4.01. THEN 402 ! :shock: :oops:
