Well, I must be missing something.
The CM thing is running in the tray, but the game itself won't start. Nothing happens at all. I see 2 machines running in Hamachi, but I don't know how to make CM see it there.

hmmm - is your bind address and network port set up in the cm software (configuration-network, default for bind addy and 22350 for port)? go to start webmin to see settings... i will see if there is anything special to do for the client - it has been so long i honestly don't remember.

Sorry, I wasn't around by that time last night, I was watching Lost. :)

I have CM 3.10. Those settings look right to me.
Bind is default, port is 22350, udp time is 1000.
Should I run it as service or app?
Its event viewer says "found ip:" and then lists 127 and my 192 address, nothing about the Hamachi 5 one.

It started working now!
I had it running for over an hour, when suddenly it started listing your PC's 5.x addy's. So I tried to run it, and it ran!

Now I have like zero idea what to do. Is it easier to use a joystick or a mouse? I have a simple Logitech stick that I can use instead of the bulky HOTAS.

joystick for gunning - definitely. some guys say they can be more accurate wth a mouse though. you will have to try both out. you MUST do the tutorials...

I just did the very first one...wow, I had no idea what was going on! :)

I did see after a lot of smoke and explosions a dead Hind lying a few hundred yards away...don't know WHAT happened to him.
Anyway, this looks like it is indeed the F4 of tanks!

Definately go through the tutorials (They REALLY help), and then goto the gunnery range. Once you pass the gunnery range, the score you get will classify how well your AI gunner shoots on future missions. (Assuming you let your AI gunner do the shooting).
