MAPPACK 5 is a bust. Who plans to keep playing Graw?

Post by Grifter »

Whenever you play after market, modded maps you run into the sort of problems we had the other night. I had a fun time despite the frustration, and so I'm willing to keep playing. However, my one condition is that we start narrowing down a list of maps that are fun and playable.

Who here still intends to keep playing this game?

Should we switch Friday nights to another/different game?

I'd still play, but we could try the campaign missions if enough people bail :)

Tell you what, I'll sell the pile of aluminum cans in my backyard and send everyone a copy of BF2 with the proceeds. ;)

Seriously though, who wants a copy of BF2? I'll go out on a limb and get a copy for anyone who doesn't have one(And wants one). This applies ONLY to the WOF regulars that play on Friday nights, you know who you are. Please let me know via PM if you want a copy, along with a valid mailing address. Let me know ASAP so I only have to make one trip to the store.

And dont forget the constant circle strafing! That's why I gave up on head to head gaming on public servers a couple of years ago.

with the PRMM, one hop and you're grounded. With PRMM, it's very realistic - no gunsight unless you go to iron-sights, very short sprints and one hop only. Even with mostly bots as enemies, it's very tactical.

I like GRAW very much and there are several maps we've not even tried yet. Sure the first group in MP5 sucked, but so what? There are several left to go.

Nice offer SB and much appreciated. I'm still on board for GRAW right now and I think I'll hold off before I run out and spend money on BF2. I would rather spend the money on ArmA, which is clearly going to become a staple for us here at WOF. I know you'd buy me a copy of BF2, but it's not necessary. If we really dump GRAW, I'll scrounge and get the cash to buy my own. Yes, things really are that tight right now, but I'm hoping that the my takes pay raise will help out and free up some spending cash for my hobbies. :-)

I do figure on us replacing GRAW with ArmA at some point, but we need more missions. :)
