You should be able to get a new PC sooner than that man! You're single so you have no wife or kids to worry about.

No wife or kids

but:

Rent
Utilities
Car payment
Food/Gas
And the real massive kicker, Student loans

When its said and done before the raise, tossing in doing a few things like going to Canada and such, I ended up with no spare cash to save for a pc. With the raise now I will be able to make bigger payments to the loans and still have have more cash. But to me getting the loans gone and over with in less then 3 years (hence why big payments) is a big thing. Once those loans are gone then I will be doing very good but ya paying time off most important. So ya new pc in a few months still.

Ack, loans. Good thing I don't have any of those to worry about.

Well, aside from the $500/month for the car and $1100/month for the house, that is! :)

The car was...um...$30k I think? I put down maybe $4-5k, I forget. The payments total $30k, you might notice, so my down payment was the interest. :)
