I suggest either the Free Russia mod, the Free Libya mod (make sure you have version 1.2) or the 75th Rangers mod...

EDIT: This one is crap...skip it!
download the 75th Ranger mod:

download the Free Libya 1.2 mod:

http://old.fileplanet.com/dl/dl.asp?/pl ... od_1_2.exe

download the free Russia mod:

http://old.fileplanet.com/dl/dl.asp?/pl ... a_v1_0.exe

Finally,
what do you all think of this:

Don't forget this one:

GR Winter Mod

I vote YES for all of these mod sets. Lets DL them and run through them, sounds like fun.

Especially the Desert Rangers one. Come to think of it, I have not played any of the Desert Siege missions. Are they any good?

I think it's all because of that one DAM mission ! :!: Lol!

Gator,
Where did you find the Free Russion 1.02? The only one I found was 1.0.

I am not so sure on the Winter Mods pack. It just puts snow on the maps we already know. Does nayone know if they come with new and unique misions? Someone want to check?

O.K.,
Let's go with the Ranger mod first...until we get more info on the Free Russia mod version.

I think we actually did all the 12 weeks missions, it has just been so overwhelmed by the Dam mission... The one we did last night I defintely remember.

As long as you have the 1.3 GR patch, you should be good to go.

Free Russia and Free libya

Raptor thought his install of Free Libya was fouled, but mine also crashed to desktop when I hosted. Something is amiss. These two mods are made by the same guys and would be awesome if not for their crashing to desktop randomly. While playing these two mods by myself I had the same problems. However, I just found a Free Libya patch for 1.2 at the http://www.ghostrecon.net/ site. Anyway, we want to give Free libya another try with the patch.

Also: A new cold war mod is out at the same site. You guys want to check it out?

Also: the red dawn campaign mod is pretty good too. I enjoyed the missions even though they were on standard maps. Check it out man! It's red dawn!

Almost forgot

We done with Georgia realitycheck? Or should I keep it installed. Gator, where did you find a Free Russia 1.02? Maybe it'll run better than the first one. I have only 1.01 or something.

All,
You do NOT need the Free Libya 1.2 patch if you downloaded from the new link. If you actually look at what you are downloading, it IS Free Libya 1.2... 8O

umm.

Steel,

Just to clarify here, the patch I downloaded last night WAS for Libya 1.2. If I'm reading you right, you seem to think I downloaded something else for Free Russia by mistake. So we still don't need the libya 1.2 patch then correct? If that's so, then the Free Libya mod is useless to us because it keep CDT for the host.

Grif,
Sorry, I meant Free Libya - corrected it above... I am pretty sure the patch you have is to update Free Libya to 1.2...unless it was released ihn the last few days? What does the readme say? Thx.

AH HA!

You are correct sir, it is indeed a update from 1.x to 1.2. In my haste to find a solution to the CTD that is the bain of this otherwise mighty mod, I misread the explanation. Sorry for the confusion. Too bad, this mod had gobs of potential. Guess we're going to have to make our mission sets, say for Enduring Freedom? I know a few evil doing terrorists that should be discreetly elimintated, their corpses left to rot in some oil polluted swamp never to surface again!

I'll post here the link to Low Profile's Map Pack. This contains 5 or 6 maps that were created from the RS series. Supposed to be pretty good. Not sure if there are missions for them or not.

http://files.3dretreat.com/file.asp?fileid=491

Only 11MB, so it's not too big.

The GR downloads sticky post has been updated...

I found a firefight mission pack for the IT maps...and the Low Profile map pack is also included.

Red Dawn Campaign link. Old maps used well.
