This is very much a work in progress on something that I have designed and built from scratch. It's a working, scaled replica of the standby ADI (attitude instrument) for the Harrier. I have been working on this for about 3 weeks now, and more revisions are still needed. This video is the first time I got the roll axis and the pitch axis both working at the same time. Yes, the roll axis has some stiction that I still need to solve. Keep in mind that I am currently not using any bearings, and there is some extra "slop" in the gearing which is also accounting for some of the stiction. These are all problems that I intend to solve. I'm probably going to have to switch to a beefier stepper motor for the roll axis as well. But, sharing for fun:
