Foothold Sinai 082025

Nice job! We took down the tank factory and FARP Mike.

We started hitting Bent Suef. Although I tried to kamikaze finish off the last smoking Zu and missed, he cooked off after I ejected safely!

Glad you had fun! It's much better without rubber banding, huh?

Sorry about the initial delay. I try to log in early to make sure everything is up to date and people can get in early too if they are there, but this time I had a USB port issue and then I totally forgot about the VPN. Gotta remember all the details for next time, even the basic "hit pause!" when starting the mission.

That Tank Factory sure had lots and lots of targets! Maybe we should have done a Warthog run on them!

I'm glad that last Zu burned out. I was really hoping I could aim my plane at him and then punch out, but apparently after I ejected my plane rolled and barely missed him to the left. That would have been an epic kill. But, he ended up cooking off so that was good!

I like the A-10 but it's just soooooo slow. As it was, it took me a long time to get to the target area in the SU-25T and that plane is significantly faster.

I am with you on that. I'm such a sucker for fast movers.

You should try flying helos. It feels like you're driving a car to the target area. I think the 46nm Trichome and I flew Wednesday took about 20 min to get in range. i was going 110KIAS mostly. The mountains are brutal too.

Yeah, that's the reason I can't hold interest enough to fully embrace the Apache, or the Warthog which I used to.

Then again, I have the F-5 and I don't even fly it...
